Jalapeno Challenge
For all my followers, here's the recipe for this week's challenge! Last week I chose the ingredient, so I didn't have to make a dish. But if you want to see what Steve and Daphne created, go check out our group blog!!! Army Wives Do It In the Kitchen It's a blog created by three Army Wives (Mr. Army Wife, Steve) about cooking, with recipes, stories, tips & tricks, etc. It's a lot of fun to work with these two and posting about stuff we love doing. Go check it out, and then find us on Facebook!! :-)
Anyway, this week's challenge was for jalapenos. But Daphne said no Mexican dishes!! Sooo....no enchiladas, tacos, nachos, etc. Well that narrows it down to next to nothing lol. So I did a twist on jalapeno poppers....created a jalapeno popper stuffed mushroom. And added a crispy jalapeno chicken breast to go with it. The chicken was very good...nice and crispy without being fried. The mushrooms were tasty too, but didn't quite taste like a jalapeno popper. More like just a spicy stuffed mushroom lol. But it was still good! Here's the recipe, in the template for our group blog! Enjoy!
